What must I do to be saved?

"What must I do to be saved?” This is one of the greatest questions ever asked. The keeper of a prison asked that question, around two thousand years ago. It was asked of two of his prisoners, Paul and Silas. Before I tell you what their answer was, I will tell you what it was not.

They did not tell him to become a Catholic and join the Catholic Church. They did not tell him to become a Seventhday Adventist, or a Jehovah's Witness. They did not tell him to become a Mormon, Mason, Or a Shriner. They did not tell him to be a Baptist. They did not tell him to join the "Church of Christ" and get baptised.I hope you getting the point.

The point? The point is this. It does not matter what group you are a part of, what origination you are a member of, or what Church you attend. None of those things will save you none of them will get you to Heaven. They also did not tell him to keep the Ten Commandments, or to start doing good works so he could earn his way to Heaven. No matter how many good works You do, no matter how hard you try to be good, you can never save yourself.

All right here is his question.

And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? Acts 16:30

Here is there answer.

And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. Acts 16:31

See no mention of any Group, Origination, or Church to join. No mention of keeping the Ten Commandments, or doing good works.

We are also told.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.Ephesians 2:8-9

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.Acts 4:12

The question is still the same today, over two thousand years later, and still as importune today as then. The answer is still the same too. If you want to know more about salvation about getting saved please click below.
